Qualifications: Job Requirements for Prep/Line Cooks include:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience from a scratch kitchen preferred
  • Problem solver and mission focused
  • Ability to follow recipes to exact specifications and measurement standards
  • Adhere to all Maricopa County Health Department guidelines and regulations
  • Follow safety guidelines for equipment and machinery
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
  • Awareness of your station, as well as cooler temperatures
  • Follow opening and closing kitchen checklists / procedures as necessary
  • Ability to work well in a team structured environment and help others when needed
  • Remain calm in a hectic, fast paced atmosphere
  • Follow prep list and par levels set by the Chef
  • Meet ticket time standards for all menu items established by the Chef
  • Consistently cook good food and taste regularly
  • Demonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgency
  • Ability to receive constructive feedback from leadership on performance
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Lifting & transporting up to 120 pounds
  • Standing or walking, for up to 8+ hours
  • Maintaining a well-groomed appearance (“having a plan”) – to play the part, you need to look the part
  • Following all uniform guidelines
  • Non slip shoes required
  • Sharpie and pen required
  • Food Handlers Card required
  • Wear cut gloves for items defined in the standard operating procedures
  • Shift Flexibility: Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends. Must be able to work overtime as required

Compensation: $10.50 – $15.00 – dependent upon experience and references

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $10.50 to $15.00 /hour
