Qualifications: Job Requirements for Prep/Line Cooks include:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience from a scratch kitchen preferred
- Problem solver and mission focused
- Ability to follow recipes to exact specifications and measurement standards
- Adhere to all Maricopa County Health Department guidelines and regulations
- Follow safety guidelines for equipment and machinery
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
- Awareness of your station, as well as cooler temperatures
- Follow opening and closing kitchen checklists / procedures as necessary
- Ability to work well in a team structured environment and help others when needed
- Remain calm in a hectic, fast paced atmosphere
- Follow prep list and par levels set by the Chef
- Meet ticket time standards for all menu items established by the Chef
- Consistently cook good food and taste regularly
- Demonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgency
- Ability to receive constructive feedback from leadership on performance
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Lifting & transporting up to 120 pounds
- Standing or walking, for up to 8+ hours
- Maintaining a well-groomed appearance (“having a plan”) – to play the part, you need to look the part
- Following all uniform guidelines
- Non slip shoes required
- Sharpie and pen required
- Food Handlers Card required
- Wear cut gloves for items defined in the standard operating procedures
- Shift Flexibility: Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends. Must be able to work overtime as required
Compensation: $10.50 – $15.00 – dependent upon experience and references
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $10.50 to $15.00 /hour
